2. What a Cookie Is

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help a shop remember your basket, keep checkout secure and understand how the site is used.

3. The Consent Banner

When you first visit Crestony, our cookie banner (provided by Shopify's customer privacy tool) asks for your choice. You can accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. Until you accept, only strictly necessary cookies are used. You can reopen the banner and change or withdraw your consent at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

4. The Cookies We Use

• Strictly necessary: set by Shopify to run the shop - basket, checkout, security and fraud prevention, and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
• Preferences: remember choices such as recently viewed items. Only with your consent.
• Analytics: Shopify's own store analytics, used to understand which pages are visited. Only with your consent.
• Marketing: used to measure advertising if we run it. We do not currently use third-party advertising tags. Only with your consent.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the basket and checkout from working.
